Continuing the Momentum: Learning, Leadership and Growth

The Women’s Council of REALTORS San Antonio continues to thrive … through meaningful events, collaborative education, and opportunities designed to help members grow both personally and professionally. Following the inspiration of the collaborative March CE event “Blooming into Balance” with SABOR, our calendar reflects a continued commitment to leadership, learning, and connection throughout the year.

The Blooming into Balance event brought together a distinguished panel of women leaders who shared perspectives on growth, leadership, and maintaining success while staying aligned personally and professionally. Attendees enjoyed engaging conversations, networking opportunities, and valuable takeaways designed to help professionals thrive both in business and in life. The collaborative format with SABOR created an even greater opportunity for members to earn CE credit while building meaningful industry relationships. The energy of this event reinforced the Women’s Council mission — advancing women as business leaders while fostering a supportive and empowering community.

An exciting, new members-only perk for this year is Strategic Sips. Members can reach out to our strategic partners for one-to-one mentorship and business planning in a laid-back coffee-house setting. This new perk can be found by scanning the QR code on your membership card and reaching out to any and all of our partners! If you need your membership card or the QR code, contact Membership Director Amanda Casanova-Godina at (210) 473-3480 for more information about Strategic Sips or to become a member.

As a former high school chemistry teacher, education has always been important to me … and I am loving our strong emphasis on education this year. In an ever-changing real estate landscape, staying informed and sharpening skills is critical. That’s why we are especially excited about our TSAHC Certification Class on April 16 with H&M Mortgage, offering members an opportunity to expand their expertise and earn valuable credentials as TSAHC-certified agents. This class is designed to provide meaningful, actionable knowledge that professionals can immediately apply to their businesses. Certifications like TSAHC not only strengthen professional credibility but also help members stand out in a competitive market while better serving clients and communities.

In addition to certification opportunities, Women’s Council of REALTORS San Antonio continues to offer connection-driven learning experiences such as Coffee Connect events throughout the year. These gatherings create a relaxed but purposeful environment where members can share ideas, collaborate, and build referral relationships. Coffee Connect is often where partnerships begin, business strategies are refined, and new members find their place within our supportive network.

Looking ahead, we are thrilled to host “Be a Digital Boss” on May 7, a forward-thinking event focused on technology, branding and digital growth. As real estate professionals navigate an increasingly digital marketplace, mastering online presence, AI tools, social media strategy, and content creation is more important than ever. This event will provide attendees with practical strategies and real-world applications to help them increase visibility, generate leads, and strengthen their brand. The focus on digital innovation reflects the Women’s Council commitment to equipping members with modern tools to remain competitive and relevant in today’s evolving industry.

Also upcoming are board elections in July, along with a Women in Leadership Panel, offering members an opportunity to step into leadership and help shape the future of our organization.

If you are a current member in good standing and would like to be a part of the 2027 board, please reach out to President-Elect Patricia Zars (210-834-7054) for further information.

Beyond these key educational opportunities, our calendar continues to offer a wide variety of events designed to foster leadership and community. Member orientations throughout the year provide welcoming entry points for new members, while networking mixers and appreciation events strengthen relationships across the industry. Events like the September Member Appreciation gathering, October’s “Cheers to Growth” holiday kickoff mixer, and ongoing leadership panels reinforce the value of staying engaged within the WCR community.

Each event is intentionally designed to support women at every stage of their careers — from those just entering the industry to seasoned leaders looking to grow and give back. Whether through CE opportunities, certification classes, networking mixers, or technology-focused workshops, we are committed to providing meaningful experiences that move careers forward.

We are incredibly excited to be offering so many opportunities for our members to continue their education, expand their networks, and further advance their careers. The year ahead reflects our dedication to collaboration, innovation, and leadership development. With a strong calendar filled with impactful programming, WCR San Antonio remains focused on empowering women, strengthening businesses, and building a thriving professional community — together.
