WCR San Antonio Installs 2026 Governing Board

We recently held our 2026 Governing Board installation on Dec. 9, themed Golden Era Glamour, and I was proudly pinned by my daughters, Katherine and Elizabeth. It was an amazing evening filled with inspiration and fun.

I wanted to share my presidential remarks from the evening to introduce myself in my first official article of the year as the 2026 president of the Women’s Council of Realtors San Antonio.

My journey with the Women’s Council began four years ago — simply as a favor to a friend. That small favor opened a meaningful chapter of my life that grew into a passion, and that passion evolved into purpose. I have come to live this mission and to witness firsthand the power of women uplifting women.

As we look ahead to 2026, I am filled with excitement. I am deeply committed to elevating women as business owners, as leaders and as unstoppable forces.

Because I come from a close-knit family made up almost entirely of strong women — and one very patient Papa — including our newest little star, Margaret, this work is profoundly personal to me.

To my family and my loves, your unwavering support keeps me going. You amaze me every day.

To my incredible team, thank you. I ask that we continue to show each other grace, support and straighten each other’s crowns.

Thank you so much to our sponsors, Legacy Mutual Mortgage and CELKA Construction, for their gold-level sponsorship, as well as the many companies that purchased tables. You made the night a success.

To our guests, thank you for taking time out of your lives on a Tuesday to support us.

Now, to why we held the event at the American Legion. Our very own, the late Pat Farrell, was a member here and our longest-serving Women’s Council of REALTORS® member. Her legacy continues to shine within these walls.

The first night I stepped inside, I fell in love with the historic building, the story behind it and the men and women who volunteer to keep this community center open. The commander, Albert, shared the post’s financial needs and challenges with us. Although it is maintained by volunteer veterans, it is open to all — a true community center filled with history, pride and purpose.

And now, I challenge all of you for the year ahead: When considering locations for events, choose a place in our community that could use your financial support, your visibility and your heart.

When we support community cornerstones like Alamo Post 2, our impact shines far beyond these four walls and into our community.

Thank you — and here’s to a golden 2026.

If you are thinking about joining the Women’s Council of Realtors San Antonio, we are holding a space for you.

Despite representing the majority of real estate professionals, many women still:

• struggle with visibility,

• hesitate to pursue leadership roles,

• underestimate their worth, or

• juggle personal and professional pressures silently.

The council creates space for women to step into their power, reminding them:

You are capable.

You are worthy.

You are needed.

And your leadership matters.

We look forward to welcoming you.
